Aaron Stone is a Canadian/American live-action, single camera adventure series and the first original Disney XD series about a teenager who is enlisted to become the real life version of a legendary, crime fighting online game character. The series stars Kelly Blatz, David Lambert, JP Manoux ("ER," Disney Channel's "The Emperor's New School" and "Phil of the Future") and Tania Gunadi (Disney Channel's "Pixel Perfect" and "Go Figure"). Executive-produced by Bruce Kalish (Disney Channel's "The Famous Jett Jackson" and Jetix's "Power Rangers") and Suzanne French ("Overruled!" "Life with Derek"), the show is produced in High Definition (HD) format by Shaftesbury Services II, Inc. It premiered February 13th, 2009. The pilot episode (Hero Rising, Pt. 1) was available for free on iTunes starting on February 2.

Plot[]

Charlie Landers (Kelly Blatz) is the best player in the popular online console game, Hero Rising, with his now legendary crime fighting avatar of Aaron Stone. When a billionaire recluse enlists him to become the 'real life' Aaron Stone, Charlie's world is changed forever. Living with his single mom, Amanda Landers (Shauna MacDonald), and younger brother, Jason Landers (David Lambert), Charlie feels the pressure to take care of his family, but he quickly learns he must become Aaron Stone to keep his family safe. With the help of Stan (J.P. Manoux), Charlie learns to secretly fight crime while coping with his normal life of school, sports and family.

Trivia[]

  • In the 2015 Disney Channel Original Movie Descendants, Carlos De Vil (the son of Disney Villainess, Cruella De Vil) is seen playing a videogame with Aaron Stone as his avatar. It's unknown if this was made as a tribute/easter egg/reference or was a coincidence (meaning that the avatar was another character similar to Stone).
  • Although the series was cancelled long time ago, in September 2016, a petition was started in Change.org to convince Disney XD to make another season and bring back the show following the unresolved cliffhanger in the series finale.[1]
